Tadpoles is our child care software that we use to communicate with families. This software allows teachers to send notes, emails, and even text messages to parents. Upon enrollment families are entered into our system, assigned a pin number and all primary guardians email addresses added.
Each family will provide a list of people allowed to pick their child up. These people will be listed in the program, letting our staff know who is approved for pick up.
Each day teachers will take pictures of the children throughout the day, enter notes about the children’s day as well as request any needed items. Additional notes such as potty training, medication and meals will also be found in Tadpoles.
At the end of the day, when the child is picked up and checked out, an email with a daily note, including photos, will be emailed to the primary guardians. Parents may also access these photos and notes through the Tadpoles app. The app can be found and downloaded in the app store for either Apple or Android.
Here is an example of a report, viewed from the app. Parents are able to see what the child is learning, as well as goals and skills they are working on.
There is a messaging component through Tadpoles. We ask that parents use this feature to communicate with classroom teachers. This allows us to track all communication and answer quickly during the day.
